We are an independent editorial team for household appliances and consumer electronics. In our studio in Hamburg, we test products hands-on in real everyday use. We publish the results as detailed video reviews on YouTube as well as comprehensive test reports on our comparison platforms.

How a Product Review Is Created
Product Selection
Our editorial team researches current trends and selects the most relevant products for a comparison review. Manufacturers can also provide review products – the assessment always remains independent.
Hands-On Testing
Unlike other review magazines, we focus on hands-on testing rather than lab measurements. We use the products in everyday life and evaluate them based on defined criteria and weightings.
Video Production
In our studio in Hamburg, we produce high-quality video reviews with professional equipment. Every video shows the product in action, explains strengths and weaknesses, and delivers a clear verdict.
Publication
The finished video is published on our YouTube channel @testit_de, the accompanying test report on testit.de – each with a review score, price comparison, and direct purchase option.

How Our Rating Works
For all products we have reviewed ourselves, the product rating corresponds to the overall score from our hands-on review. Only these products receive our review seal. Our editors define suitable evaluation criteria and their weighting in advance and compare products based on these criteria.

We deliberately avoid intrusive banner ads and pop-ups. Instead, we fund ourselves through a small commission from online shops when someone clicks through to a shop from our site. This keeps our reviews independent of manufacturer budgets.
No. Our editorial team rates every product independently – regardless of whether the product was purchased by us or provided by the manufacturer. It is not possible to influence our rating or the ranking in search results.
Every year, dozens of products go through our review process. The devices are usually still fully functional after testing. That's why we occasionally give away review products to our community – sustainable and fair.
We do our best to always present the most current prices from hundreds of online shops. Since real-time updating is not technically possible, the price shown on the retailer's website at the time of purchase applies.
